Signing in drives a real browser to clear Xero's bot defence, then reuses those cookies over plain HTTP. A cached session is reused wherever possible — repeated fresh credential logins are the thing most likely to get the account challenged, so this only re-authenticates when it must.
PLS reports
Asks the ATO for reports on behalf of every tax agent in the practice — the same as Retrieve PLS reports → all agents → Retrieve in Practice Manager. Reports don't come back on this call; they arrive minutes later in the list below.
